Sarah Savoy Cajun food
The afternoon belonged to Sarah Savoy & the Francadians cooking up a storm in the Taste the World tent. I missed their earlier main show in the Siam Tent, but this was a more intimate affaire as Sarah stirred a pot of jambalaya, all the while telling tales of Louisiana, accompanied by her excellent Cajun band as delicious smells wafted over us. --Jackie Chappell, The Bath Chronicle

Sarah also offers Cajun cooking demonstrations as part of her performance contract package to those interested. She and the Francadians have performed these cooking demonstrations throughout Europe. While Sarah demonstrates the preparation and method of cooking Cajun dishes such as gumbo, jambalaya, sauce piquant, bananas foster, sweet potato pie, and many others, the Francadians play nearby. Sarah joins them to entertain as the dish simmers on the stovetop, and she plays her guitar, sings, jokes, shares stories about food-related events in her life, and answers questions.

The Cajun cooking demonstration was created as a means of bringing a true sense of Louisiana life to audiences everywhere--even in the coldest German winter, even on the rainiest English afternoon, Sarah's warmth as she relates easily with her audiences of all sizes, the heated two-steps of the Francadians, and the spicy sauces bubbling nearby all bring one out to sultry bayou country.

Recipes, lists of required ingredients and equipment are available upon request by all interested parties.
